This year we launched our “Livelihood” Ministry. This ministry will help equip and empower families so that they may become self-dependent. This ministry will help provide the needed education, supplies, tools and materials that will allow individuals and families to earn a living.
We started off by helping Mrs. Gata obtain all of the necessary paperwork needed to apply for a teaching position. Mrs. Gata completed her college education to become a teacher, but that is only the beginning of the process. The paperwork needed to apply for a teaching position is enormous taking weeks to a month to complete. We assisted Mrs. Gata financially so that all of her paperwork has been completed, and she has gone through the interview process. We are currently awaiting the hiring results.
We also have decided to provide needy families with baby female pigs which will be raised as mother pigs. We initially provided one four month old female pig along with one 50 kilo sack of feed. The agreement with the family is that two female piglets from the first litter will be donated to another family and these females will then be raised as mother pigs. We believe in passing along the blessings. We currently have several piglets nearing the donation age.
We are also helping with the repair of fishing boats and providing materials to build fishing boats that were totally destroyed during various Typhoons. Without this help these fisherman would not be able to provide for their families.
Our ministry has been blessed with a bountiful litter of female piglets. We are supplying 8 female piglets to families in need. Four families will receive two female piglets and one sack of feed. These piglets are to be raised as mother pigs. When the sows give birth, the families will then pass on the blessing by donating two female piglets to another family in need. These female piglets will then be raised as mother sows with the hope that the blessings will continue to be passed on to other needy families.
